Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery
Lachlan has been a member of the ENVC family for many years, visiting from an early age and also throughout his veterinary degree, undertaken at the Royal Veterinary College in London. Lachlan graduated in 2014 and spent his first three years in small animal practice in Staffordshire. It was at this busy hospital that Lachlan developed and subsequently began his Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) certificate in advanced veterinary practice.
With most of his family in Fife, Lachlan has strong ties to the area and he was delighted to join the orthopaedic team here in 2018 where he undertook a three-year training programme. Lachlan completed his RCVS certificate in advanced veterinary practice in 2020 and achieved a designation in Small Animal Surgery in 2021. As recognition of Lachlan’s focus in small animal surgery he was awarded Advanced Practitioner status by the RCVS in 2022.
Lachlan relishes the challenges of orthopaedic surgery particularly fracture stabilisation, but also enjoys striving to consistently provide the highest standards for all elective surgeries to get your family members back to doing what they love.
In his downtime, Lachlan enjoys spending time with his cats Jamie and Vader and his wife (in that order). Weather permitting you may also find him out enjoying the many local outdoor pursuits.
